Housing Services

Affordable housing is one of the most important tenets to economic development and upward mobility, not only in Los Angeles, but around the nation. However, Los Angeles brings a unique set of challenges that require a dedicated focus and monetary impact to address:

  • Housing Affordability: Only 27% of Los Angeles residents can afford to purchase a median-priced home in the area, highlighting the critical need for support (California Association of Realtors, 2023).

  • Homeownership Rate: The homeownership rate in Los Angeles is approximately 45%, significantly lower than the national average of 65% (U.S. Census Bureau, 2022).

  • Financial Literacy: Over 60% of residents report a need for better financial education to manage debt and savings (Los Angeles Housing Department, 2022).

Our Housing Services program is committed to bridging these gaps by providing the necessary tools and support to help residents achieve their dream of homeownership. Through education and assistance, we strive to foster a community of informed and empowered homeowners in Los Angeles.
